Somos una Organización No Gubernamental (ONG) con personería jurídica, que funciona desde 1991 con el  objetivo de contribuir para una mejor calidad ambiental y humana. En el Instituto de Ciencias Ambientales y Salud (ICAS) ser realizan las tareas de  investigación científico-tecnológica, formación de recursos humanos, asesoramiento y servicios (por intermedio del Grupo de Investigaciones en Seguridad Química, CONICET). El ICAS cuenta con un Equipo de trabajo compuesto  por investigadores científicos, técnicos, becarios, tesistas dedicados a desarrollar conocimientos científico-tecnológicos para la protección ambiental y de la salud humana. La vinculación con el sector  productivo se cumple desde la Dirección de Gestión y Consultaría Ambiental,  contamos con un espacio de vinculación Arte-Ciencia ECICAS, de un Departamento de Bioética y Derecho Ambiental (DEBIDA) integrada por un equipo de 7 abogados organizada como un espacio académico y de extensión.   Hemos instrumentado  Premios y Distinciones PROSAMA, homenaje a científicos por su excepcional trayectoria en Ciencias Ambientales.

We are a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with legal status, which has been operating since 1991 with the aim of contributing to a better environmental and human quality. In the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Health (ICAS), the tasks of scientific-technological research, training of human resources, advice and services (through the Research Group in Chemical Safety, CONICET) are carried out. The ICAS has a work team composed of scientific researchers, technicians, fellows, thesis students dedicated to developing scientific-technological knowledge for environmental protection and human health. The link with the productive sector is fulfilled from the Management of Environmental Management and Consultancy, we have a space for linking Art-Science ECICAS, a Department of Bioethics and Environmental Law (DEBIDA) integrated by a team of 7 lawyers organized as a space academic and extension. We have implemented PROSAMA Awards and Awards, a tribute to scientists for their exceptional experience in Environmental Sciences.
